UNSW Science student and Ben Lexcen scholar Jess Thornton is currently recovering from an injury that ruled her out of April's Athletics University Nationals. Here she tells us about the excitement of making it to the 2016 Rio Olympics when she was only 18 and her hopes of appearing at another Olympics in Tokyo next year. As a member of UNSW's Elite Athlete Program, Thornton also opens up on the pressures of balancing study with elite sport and how she stays on top of both.
