Star Hobart Hurricanes cricketer Georgia Redmayne has taken out the prestigious UNSW Female Athlete of the Year award at the the Blues Dinner and Sports Awards for the second consecutive time.
Georgia, who completed her Medical degree in 2018, had a sensational season for the Tasmanian franchise, with 15 dismissals for the season - the third highest of any wicket-keeper in the competition. As a batter she scored 222 runs at an average of 22.2 and an impressive strike rate of 110.45.
Late last year, we caught up with Georgia to chat about her studies and how she balances cricket with a demanding Medical degree.
