AFL

Another big win for our still undefeated Men's Premier Division team, beating Manly Warringah by over 150 points in a massive effort. Charlie Burgess-Hoar kicked a massive six goals in the game, while Thomas Banuelos kicked five and Sebastian Green was just behind him with four goals. It was a comprehensive victory and a huge team effort, which sets them up for a massive showdown against the also undefeated North Shore Bombers at Henson Park this Saturday. Unfortunately our Women's Premier Division team weren't able to grab a second win on the trot, going down to Manly Warringah. Senna Gulden was the only goal kicker for the Bulldogs this week.

HOCKEY

A tight game for our Women's Metro League 1 team this week saw them come away with a draw against Briars on Sunday afternoon at Olympic Park. Lizzie Rae was the sole goal scorer for UNSW and the draw puts them in fourth place on the ladder, with two wins and two draws from the season so far. This weekend they take on GNS, who are just ahead of them on the ladder in third. In Men's Premier League 1, UNSW unfortunately couldn't overcome a commanding Moorebank Liverpool team, who held them scoreless at David Phillips on Saturday. UNSW are sitting in fifth place on the ladder and will take on the sixth placed Ryde this weekend.

NETBALL

The A1 fixture saw a battle of epic black and gold proportions last weekend, as UNSW Seis took on UNSW Black. While both teams played in proud #TeamUNSW spirit, the Seis were able to pull away and take out the match, beating their clubmates by 14 goals. Meanwhile in the Super Netball, Matilda McDonell had a quick six minute cameo in the Giants' win over West Coast Fever on Tuesday night, tasked with the massive job of matching up on Jamaican captain Jhaniele Fowler. It was the Giants' first win of the season and the team song post-game was delightful to watch.

FOOTBALL (SOCCER)

A very tight game from start to finish for our men in NPL4 this week, grinding out a nil all draw with Fraser Park FC. Another clean sheet for goal keeper Conor Win, who is making a habit of this in season 2020! Unfortunately our women's team had a wash out in their game scheduled against Southern Branch FC, but will look forward to testing themselves against Marconi Stallions FC this weekend.
