AFL

In the Men's Premier Division, UNSW triumphed over the East Coast Eagles and are equal first on the AFL Sydney ladder. Though Shannon Longville’s opening goal looked to set the Women’s Premier Division team on their way to continue their recent success, the East Coast Eagles came through for the win on their home turf. The Men’s Division 2 team had huge win by over 100 points and remain in prime position approaching the tail end of the season.

Last weekend also saw fan favourite Nick McGann play his 150th game for the Bulldogs. Highlights of his career with UNSW AFL include kicking the winning goal after the siren in round one last year, a feat no player is likely to forget given the frequency it seems to come up in conversation with the self-proclaimed GOAT himself. Given the popularity of celebratory social media posts, the UNSW AFL community can now look forward to McGann’s milestone honour- a much anticipated Instagram takeover on @unswesafl. ‘Well done McGram’ indeed.
