The event took place at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, and was contested in both men's and women's teams, pairs and individual competitions.

UNSW took first place over the University of Sydney in both the men's and women's with the University of Queensland rounding out the top three in the men's division and the University of Melbourne in the women's.

The UNSW Taekwondo Club prides itself on a very high student participation rate - providing fun, fitness and competition to the UNSW student experience. Whether you’re looking to get fit, learn a martial art and self-defense program, meet new people, or try something new, UNSW Taekwondo offers it all. They run up to 3 sessions a week to train in, with all classes being taught by qualified and certified Black Belt instructors.

With Nationals run and won for the year, the team will be enjoying more relaxed training, preparing themselves to defend their title in 2020.
