UNSW Handball Club members Hannah Todd, Kaycee Clark, Juliet Jones and Ruby Liu have these week been participating in the Oceania Youth and Junior Womens Championship as part of the Australian Junior and Youth Women teams.

At the end of Day 3 of competition, the Youth (Under 17) team are in fourth position on the ladder, while the Junior (Under 19) team are in third.

The Australian Under 17s will have a strong test today as they take on the second placed Tahiti and will look to make their way up the ladder with a win over the island nation. The Under 19s meanwhile will look to build a strong lead and boost their goal differential against sixth-placed Tahiti.

The Australian Under 17s team had a strong game against Fiji, winning 39-6.

It has been a great experience for our UNSW players who have been able to develop their skills and get an understanding of the high performance environment as well as participate in a competitive international tournament.

The UNSW Handball Club will be keen to use these newly developed skills and take advantage of the added experience of their players when they return to club competition.
