With selections heating up for next year's Women's T20 World Cup in Australia, UNSW alumna Georgia Redmayne has boosted her chances with some sensational performances for Australia A against India A in Brisbane.

In the first ODI, India A took a narrow win, but Redmayne was an important contributor with two stumpings at the end of the innings off the bowling of captain Tahlia McGrath to slow India's progress and give her team a total they could chase. At the top of the order, she chipped in an important 20 runs before being caught in the eighth over.

In the second match of the series, Redmayne was at her sensational best, carrying her bat with an incredible century, finishing with 113 not out from the 50 overs. After setting India A an imposing 315 to win, Redmayne was also vital with the gloves, taking two important catches to see India all out for 234 in 44 overs.

The final match of the one day series was played today and both teams were desperate for the win with the series level. Australia put the brakes on India from the start with regular wickets and Redmayne took two catches and a run out to play her part in the strong innings for the Australians. She then anchored the run chase with a solid 41 to set up Australia's innings.

A two match T20 series will follow this ODI series, which will further the cases of the players to be included in the World Cup squad. With the wicketkeeping skills to provide a strong back up for Alyssa Healy and some dominant batting performances, all eyes will be on Redmayne to see if she can break into this highly successful team.
