UNSW/ES AFL Club

The UNSW Eastern Suburbs Aussie Rules Football Club is the largest AFL club in Sydney with 5 senior men's teams. UNSW was the winner of the Women's Premier division in both 2016 & 2017 and currently has 2 women's teams. The club is open to male and female players, students and non-students, and caters to all levels from absolute beginners to the more experienced.

Aikido

UNSW Aikido Club

In Aikido, you use your opponents' energy against them. Timing, balance and good technique allow you to overcome stronger adversaries and deal with multiple attackers.

With Aikido you will have a great workout, learn self-defence skills and learn how to roll and fall safely.

Not to mention, the first taster class is free!!

UNSW Aikido Club fosters a learning environment, allowing you to develop clear insights into the areas of form, motion, attitudes, habits, spiritual ideals and human relations.

The University of NSW Aikido was founded by Shuji Ozeki Sensei in 1989. It was the first Kokikai Aikido dojo in Sydney, Australia. Since then, our club has been continuously growing and consistently strives to provide a friendly environment for Aikido training under the guidance of Allen Iu sensei. The club continues its close ties to Japan with annual training camps run by Ozeki Sensei and our founder Maruyama sensei.

Founded in 1953, the UNSW Athletics Club has a distinguished and proud tradition of achievement, producing State, National and Olympic Champions.

The Club is strong, competitive, friendly and affiliated with Athletics NSW. The team of athletes have a wide range of abilities and areas of specialisations who compete regularly in the Treloar Shield, All Comers and other Australia wide championship meets as well as the Australia University Games.

Open to both the public and UNSW, the club welcomes players of all ages and ability.

Graduates, undergraduates and community members combined, the UNSW Cricket (Mens) Club fields seven men's teams, the top five playing in the NSW Premier Cricket Competition.

Enjoy first-class coaching, outstanding facilities and access to mentors through senior players, administrators and the alumni network. The Club cultivates a great spirit, humour, enthusiasm and true sportsmanship for anyone keen to improve their cricket skills.

Universities Women's Cricket Club

Whether you're a batter, bowler or an all-rounder women of all skill sets and ages are welcome. The Universities Women’s Cricket Club was created in 2004 by the merger of the Sydney University Women’s Cricket Club and the University of NSW Women’s Cricket Club.

The club has first, second and third grade teams, along with U17s and U15s teams and runs the Twilight 12s competition (a great way for women to experience cricket for the first time).

The club plays in the Sydney Women's Grade competition, where you can find their latest results and upcoming matches.
