Special guest speaker Moya Dodd AO will be joining us on the day. Moya Dodd AO, a renowned figure in sports administration, UNSW alumni, and a former vice-captain of Australia's women's football team, was recently appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO). This prestigious recognition was bestowed upon her in the recent King's Birthday Honours for her distinguished service to football as a player and administrator, a trailblazing role model for women, and her contributions to the field of law.  Dodd's also made history by becoming one of the first women to join FIFA's governing body, challenging the male-dominated landscape of international football. With a decade-long tenure on the board of Football Federation Australia, she played a pivotal role in securing the successful bid to host the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Dodd's influence goes far beyond sports; she has been recognized as the most influential woman in Australia and ranked seventh among the most powerful women in international sport (outside the US) by Forbes magazine.
