The University of New South Wales prides itself as a centre for academic excellence. Likewise the UNSW Sports Association encourages academic excellence through a scholarships program. Associated with these sports scholarships, the UNSW Sports Association has established a mentoring program to assist elite athletes with academic studies and aide in career decisions. At present there are 3 categories of sports scholarships that students may apply for: The Ben Lexcen Sports Scholarships and the Sam Cracknell memorial scholarships.
